Tumblr is a microblogging platform that, among other tools, allows the publication of texts, images, videos, and quotes. Created in 2007, it has since been widely used for various purposes, including disseminating fashion, design, photography, lifestyle trends, and inspirations.

Long before Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest, the platform served (and still does, despite losing many users in recent years) as a source for fashion references and youth behavior. And all this flirts with the lifestyle of big cities where clothes need to keep up with the fast-paced life, where a piece needs to transition between more than one environment. 

Sober colors, jeans, and earthy tones stand out in the styles originating from this platform. Likewise, simple lines and designs dictate the looks that pop up on Tumblr. These references were very present at the turn of the 90s to the 2000s, with the millennium bug.
