Just to understand where this iconic piece comes from, in the 40s, women started wearing cropped tops with bottom pieces that helped enhance their silhouettes. Later, in the 80s in the USA, as society adopted healthy habits and incorporated exercise into their routines, the men's cropped top gained increasing popularity, becoming popular among men, especially for physical exercise.
